The Rumbaugh-Goodwin Institute for Cancer Research is one of the leading institutes for the discovery of new cancer treatments. New achievements in the medical field and advanced technology has pushed the Institute toward a cure. The Institute has continued to develop new patents and licenses that target cancer cells and progressively treat various types of cancer.
RGI resides in Nova Southeastern University’s Center for Collaborative Research (CCR). This new 215,000-square-foot facility, constructed by the ANF Group, Inc., houses some of the most advanced technology in the world. This includes an IBM supercomputer, one of Florida’s largest wet labs, the NSU Technology Incubator, and the world’s most accomplished researchers.
In 2005, the Rumbaugh-Goodwin Institute made a strategic decision to merge with Nova Southeastern University, one of the largest not-for-profit independent universities in the nation.
This critical merger allowed for wider collaborations in various kinds of research, including translational research.
RGI continues its unwavering mission along with partners such as the National Cancer Institute and the National Institutes of Health. Additionally, the constant support of the Royal Dames of Cancer Research, Inc. means promising therapies for breast, ovarian, prostate, colorectal, and lung cancers are steadily advancing.
